Graphic Designer | Creative Agency | £30k | London Bridge

Our client is actually our sister company, NU Creative. An award-winning, creative agency established over 10 years ago. There’s around 20 people in the agency at the moment and it continues to grow.

This however is not an ordinary job. We’re looking for someone to work a shift that’s 2 to 10 pm, Monday to Friday.

You won’t be on your own but with another designer. We’ve had this in operation for a few years now and enables us to do fantastic work, hit deadlines and helps everyone have a better work/life balance.

Of course, there will be some flexibility but you should be comfortable with working 2 to 10 pm on most days.

The agency with works with clients ranging from multinational corporations, local authorities, arts organisations, charities, SMEs to start-ups.

The work is just as varied.

The most important requirements are that you’re a conceptual thinker, a great communicator that can help develop a brief and totally sell it to everyone concerned. You’ll be a typography lover, passionate about paper, printing, folding and an absolute perfectionist (or as close to as possible).

We’re ideally looking for a second or third jobber so some experience, ideally in an agency environment is necessary.

Web Developer | Creative Agency | Up to £35,000 | London Bridge

Our sister company NU Creative is an award-winning independent creative agency; based in London Bridge. They are a fast-paced, exciting full-service agency working within a variety of sectors which include; professional services, public sector and Medical / Healthcare communications.

At NU Creative, collaborative working and career development are key, as are helping each other to reach their full design potential.

This position requires a combination of WordPress development, programming skills (namely HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), but also some back end development experience (PHP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop websites built on WordPress CMS using HTML, CSS (SASS) & jQuery
  • Create re-usable front-end components
  • Maintain quality and accuracy of code
  • Work closely with the internal creative team and back end developer
  • Taking briefs from clients and building new client websites in close collaboration with the design team
  • Backups, updates, maintenance, optimisation, deployment and testing of all client sites

Key Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering (or similar)
  • Some years of experience in web development, resulting in a strong technical understanding of PHP
  • Excellent understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS (SASS), jQuery
  • Experience working with JavaScript Libraries
  • Ability to confidentially develop and adapt custom WordPress themes
  • Back end development experience
  • True team player who can adapt and excel in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong understanding of industry trends

Desirable but not essential:

  • Python and Django experience
  • Experience with provisioning servers (Digital Ocean / AWS)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop / Illustrator)
  • Experience with React or Node
