When Enfield Council wanted to rebrand three of its leisure venues, the brief challenged us to reflect their energetic spirit in a modern way – while conveying a strong sense of tradition, and the personality of Bruce Forsyth, the borough’s most famous son. We also created two new brands: Active Enfield for sports, dance and health facilities, and Enfield Presents, the arts and culture umbrella brand.
Our branding team developed Enfield Presents entity with a name that suggests anticipation of a show, and the visual identity – based on a simple star graphic – supports the individual venues’ brands, rather than outshining them. For each venue, the new brand reflects a specific purpose: the Millfield Theatre is home to pantomime and theatrical spectacle, The Dugdale is a community performance space, and Enfield Festivals provides a forum for local events.
Our digital team created a series of websites, using a bespoke content management system, integrated with Enfield’s ticketing software. Then, to help roll out print and online communications, we produced a set of guidelines. Feedback from the council and community has been highly favourable, as the venues can now build on their past successes well into the future.
