At NU Creative, we’ve always believed in building brands that matter—brands that make a real difference to people and the planet.
In January 2024, we relaunched our agency to be purpose-led, with a goal to live by these values in the most transparent way possible.
Today we are proud to say we are officially a certified B-Corp.
For us, this isn’t just a label. It’s a testament to the way we do business, the impact we strive to create, and the values we hold close. It’s about standing up and being counted as a company that’s using its creativity and influence to drive meaningful change.
Why becoming a B-Corp matters
Branding is powerful, but it’s what sits behind the brand that counts. Becoming a B-Corp means putting our money where our mouth is, ensuring that everything we do - whether it’s the projects we take on, the clients we partner with, or the way we run our business—aligns with our commitment to be a force for good, and to put purpose before profit.
To become a B-Corp, you’re assessed on your impact across Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. It’s rigorous, honest, and eye-opening. For us, it was a chance to step back and ask ourselves how can we do better, and what kind of legacy do we want to leave?
Our path to certification
The journey to certification was by no means easy, but we’ve absolutely no doubt that it will be worth it. We are unquestionably a better and stronger company for having gone through the process, and this is how we got there:
- Looking Inward: We reviewed every aspect of our business, from how we support our team to how we minimise our environmental impact.
- Stepping Up: We introduced new sustainability initiatives, redefined our internal policies, and made big (and small) changes to live our values every day.
- Helping Others Do the Same: We worked with our clients to encourage more sustainable practices, weaving purpose into the brands we help create.
- Proving Our Impact: The B Impact Assessment pushed us to be transparent, accountable, and ambitious - ensuring we met the highest standards across the board.
Every step has made us a better business, but more importantly, it’s reinforced what we’ve known all along: that creativity, when fuelled by purpose, can create something truly extraordinary. Because the strongest brands are those driven by purpose.
